David and Sandy Mills retire from the ministry after 54 years of service.
After morning services of the combined Raleigh and Greensboro, North Carolina, congregations on Pentecost, the deacons, elders and wives gathered to present David and Sandy Mills with a retirement gift sent by the home office in recognition of 54 years of dedicated service to the Church of God. The combined congregations also presented their own gifts of appreciation including two photo albums with pictures of local members, an engraved watch for Mr. Mills, an engraved locket for Mrs. Mills, and a bouquet of roses. There were lots of hugs, thanks, and congratulations from everybody. Afterwards the entire group shared a luncheon with a summer picnic theme followed by a special retirement cake.
