Oklahoma City Senior Appreciation Luncheon

1 minute read time
Following church services on the Sabbath of Aug. 27, the Oklahoma City congregation held their annual senior appreciation luncheon. The event recognized and honored the brethren of the congregation who are 65 years of age and over.

The entire congregation enjoyed a tasty three-course meal. A special slideshow presented photos taken during the course of the seniors’ lives and information about them. Highlights included a bit of their life history, places they have lived, favorite scriptures, and words of wisdom.

Ladies from the congregation assisted in preparing meals. The young adults contributed their wait staff and maître de skills, and the youth served drinks and provided live music on a variety of instruments ranging from a flute to a ukulele. This wonderful group worked together to create a lovely evening of delicious food, lively entertainment and memorable fellowship!

All are anticipating the next opportunity to again celebrate the lives of our precious seniors and their invaluable contribution to God’s Church.
