Prayers requested for Camp Wamatochick and the State of Arizona
Much of the Western United States is experiencing record drought this year. There are several large wildfires burning in the state of Arizona, which has resulted in the closure of the Prescott National Forest to the public in order to prevent additional fires.
Thankfully Camp Wamatochick, where the UYC teen camp will be held July 4-11, is not threatened at this time—since the nearest fire is over 40 miles away, but the closure of this forest area has potential to impact one or two of our activities. These closures will remain in place until enough rainfall comes to the area. We’re asking for your prayers that the UYC camp will not be affected, and for rain in the area.
