Important: Sermon Tagging for Holy Days

With the Holy Days coming up next week, please remember to tag sermons with the appropriate topics. Tagging not only helps those who are unable to attend services find relevant Holy Day messages—it also greatly improves sermon search results across the site.

The key tags to look for are:

• (247341) Holidays and Holy Days
• (247766) Unleavened Bread
• (247761) Passover

When selecting tags, please look for the ones with a picture badge to ensure you're choosing the correct version. Proper tagging ensures sermons are visible in topical filters and advanced search, making it easier for users to find what they’re looking for quickly and accurately.

New Features & Enhancements

We’re excited to share some recent improvements to the site that we believe will streamline your workflow and improve usability.

Clone Announcements and Sermons

You can now clone any existing announcement or sermon into a new page with all the information from the original. This feature allows maintainers to quickly create similar announcements or sermons without needing to re-enter the same data. Please note: Cloning copies all fields, so be sure to review and update any information to avoid unintentionally reusing outdated content.

Author/Speaker Field Enhancements

We’ve made significant improvements to the Author/Speaker selection field:

• Easier searching and filtering
• Display of author photos, email addresses, and user IDs
   These enhancements help you quickly confirm that you’re selecting the correct individual.

Congregation and Feast Site Field Improvements

Similar improvements have been made to the Congregation/Feast Site selection field.

• Two visual badges now appear next to each option, making it easier to distinguish between a congregation and a Feast site
• This should help prevent accidentally selecting the wrong type of location

Sermon Search Enhancements

We’ve brought back Search by date! Available under Advanced Options on the sermon search page. You can now also search by Congregation or Feast Site.

Now you can easily locate, for example, a sermon from East Texas in January 2018 by Don Ward.

Future Roadmap

We are continuing work on a number of key improvements:

Emergency Alerts

We’re in the process of restoring emergency and urgent mass email functionality for congregations. A release announcement will be shared once ready.
If needed in the meantime, we can provide congregational email lists, or you may add a custom alert to your congregation’s page.

Joining a Congregation

We’re making the "Join Congregation" feature more user-friendly.

Congregation Emailing Enhancements

A new feature allowing you to directly message your congregation is nearly ready—stay tuned for updates.
