Recognizing Gary Antion’s “Second Retirement”
With Mr. Antion retiring from his role as Northeast Regional Pastor, we want to express our sincere appreciation for his many decades of faithful service to God’s people.
Mr. Antion’s service has spanned more than 60 years. Since his ordination in 1964, he and his wife, Barb, have served congregations across the United States and Canada, encouraged brethren, counseled families, taught future leaders and strengthened God’s people wherever they were asked to serve.
Many know Mr. Antion for his thoughtful counsel, balanced judgment, steady leadership and genuine care for people. He has pastored congregations in many areas, taught at Ambassador College, served as dean of students, worked in leadership roles in UCG-Canada and served on the Council of Elders. Many also came to know him through Ambassador Bible College, where he helped teach and mentor a generation of leaders with wisdom, humility and a deep love for God’s Word.
After his first retirement from full-time ministerial employment in 2015, Mr. Antion continued serving. In 2023, he accepted the responsibility of serving as Northeast Regional Pastor, providing guidance, encouragement and experience to the ministers and congregations in that region.
Those who have worked with him know of his kindness, wisdom, patience and sincere desire to serve God and the Church faithfully. His influence has reached far beyond the congregations he personally pastored, touching the lives of ministers, students and members around the world.
We are very thankful for Gary and Barb Antion and for their lifetime of sacrifice, dedication and faithful example. Their service has made a lasting impact on the Church and on countless lives.
We pray God’s continued blessing on them in this next chapter of life, and we thank them sincerely for the many years they have given in caring for the people of God.

United Youth Camps
There’s still time to apply for camp!
We are just about one month away from the start of our first teen camp of the summer. Camp Cotubic begins June 21!
We also want you to be aware that there is still room available at Southwest Camp, which begins July 5, and Camp Woodland, which begins July 19.
Please be aware that camp scholarships are available. These scholarships are not only for those with financial hardship, but also for families who genuinely want their teens to attend and may simply need a little extra help with tuition or travel expenses.
Parents, if your teen has not yet registered, we encourage you to enroll your child. UYC is a tremendous opportunity for our young people to build godly friendships, grow spiritually and enjoy a positive environment centered on God’s way of life.
If cost is a concern, please speak with your pastor. He can help initiate the scholarship process or contact Ministerial and Member Services for assistance.
Camp has had a tremendous positive effect on so many teens in the Church, and we hope your teen will be able to be part of it this summer.
