Year of Giving Continues

The “Year of Giving” continues in Portsmouth, Ohio, with our young people, ages 12-25. Each young person chooses a month and a charity, then they are responsible for coordinating a service project involving our local congregations.

In April, Jacob Call and Sophia DelSignore collected personal items for “Choices” for Victims of Domestic Violence in Columbus, Ohio. In May, Joe and Victoria Shoemaker collected items for the animals served by the Adams County Humane Society. In June, Ben Shoemaker and Chelsea Shaw collected personal items for the Women’s Crisis Center in Maysville, Kentucky. In July, Wesley Call collected food and clothing items for the Salvation Army in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Our local brethren continue to participate by donating items to send on to those in need. Many people participate in making this a great success.
