Does Removing Leaven Primarily Teach Us to Not Be Puffed up With Pride and Vanity?

We think of leaven as something that causes bread to puff up, because that’s what our English word conveys. But the Hebrew and Greek words carry a different meaning, and one that fits better with the symbolism conveyed by Jesus and Paul.
