Amos 4:12 states "since I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, oh Israel." Following the disturbing events that unfolded at the Capitol building this past week, this statement becomes even more relevant to us and this nation today. Not only was the opening prayer of Congress given in the name of a Pagan god, it closed in a mixture of truth and dishonesty. The result was a disgraceful siege upon the building that once symbolized the foundation of truth this country was founded upon. Our nation, along with most of the world, now renounces faith in God and goes as far as declaring religion false - a purposeful defection from truth. David Jones suggests that there is no doubt any longer that we are living in the latter days and it would behoove use to act like it and asks us: are we prepared to meet our God?
