We all struggle with this each day. We tend to see ourselves as the center of the Universe and can succumb to unbridled selfishness. It’s hard to express concern for others if we concentrate on ourselves. We are self-centered humans and live as if it is really all about us. Many sins we are caught up in are due to an overwhelming urge.

Joe has been a member of God’s Church since 1984. He and his wife Brenda have spent their careers working with persons with disabilities of all ages. Joe holds a Masters Degree in Education. Together, Joe and Brenda have been able to serve God’s people in Illinois, Wisconsin and now in Virginia. Joe was ordained a local elder in April of 2011 and was hired by the United Church of God in 2023 to pastor the Richmond and Roanoke congregations in Virginia, along with serving as the Human Resource Manager for the Church.
