Gen 22:8 Abraham said, "My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering." So the two of them went together. Here we see Abraham, our forefather's faith confirmed by his willingness to follow God's direction to the point of sacrificing his son Isaac. We know the rest of the story. Hopefully by our presence here today we too confirm our faith. Our realization of the sacrifice made for us by our Father and His Son. The only sacrifice that could satisfy our debt.
