Atonement

Atonement is also about the humility and spirit necessary to discern good and evil -especially when the Kingdom of God is at hand. Before we enter the Kingdom, the Devil will do his best to trick the world with his best effort at a false Christianity. The serpent has been doing this from the very beginning. Whenever the promised Kingdom of God is near, he makes sure that the temptation of sin is at the door. It was true with Adam, Cain, the Israelites -and even Jesus Christ. We must be aware of this pattern.
