Throughout Hebrews, there are many connecting threads. Within one thread we see a connection God inspired warnings that help admonition the Church to be committed and to stay on the true and narrow path. Within this third account, we see that there is a type of rest given throughout Scripture pointing towards a yet to be fulfilled final rest from God. Because a rest remains for the people of God, we are warned to be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
