Be Doers of the Word

Why don’t we always do what God says we should do? In James 1:22, we are told to “be doers of the word, and not hearers only.” Examining ourselves is not a process to be done only once a year before Passover. Rather, we should honestly examine ourselves daily to determine whether we are living according to what we know God expects of us.

Joe Greene

Joe has been a member of God’s Church since 1984.  He and his wife Brenda have spent their careers working with persons with disabilities of all ages.  Joe holds a Masters Degree in Education. Together, Joe and Brenda have been able to serve God’s people in Illinois, Wisconsin and now in Virginia.  Joe was ordained a local elder in April of 2011 and was hired by the United Church of God in 2023 to pastor the Richmond and Roanoke congregations in Virginia, along with serving as the Human Resource Manager for the Church.
