The Biblical Laws of National Government

Contrary to popular misunderstandings, the Biblical laws for governing a nation foster and protect great personal freedom. Even the OT places great emphasis on the freedom and welfare and every individual. God's laws are the opposite of a yoke of bondage--they are the "law of liberty"--whereas many of man's laws rob us of liberty. Private ownership of property is fundamental for freedom and free enterprise. God's laws provided for a family's permanent ownership generation after generation. And when a nation is obedient to God, God becomes a partner in greatly blessing and protecting that nation. The biblical laws tell us a lot about how the world will be governed after Christ returns!
