Pentecost reminds us of a time when God poured out His Holy Spirit and formed the New Testament church. His Holy Spirit dwells in us, making us part of the family of God, the first fruits. Who is saved by and through the plan of God? God works with us as individuals, but He also works with us as a group.

Michael was an elder who most recently served the Roanoke, Virginia, congregation of the United Church of God, where he had served as pastor for five years. He and his wife, Rita, lived in Lansing, West Virginia. He was a retired chemist. They enjoyed hiking and biking.
