A City on a Hill

America’s founding was rooted in the idea of being a “city on a hill,” a nation blessed by God so long as it remained faithful to Him. Like ancient Israel, America was warned that turning from God would bring loss of blessings and eventual judgment. As Christians today, we are called to be that city on a hill by walking in God’s ways, keeping His commandments, and staying spiritually alert as we await Christ’s return.
