The purpose of this sermon is to demonstrate the simplicity of the core principles of God. The great difference between the churches’ of God and other Christian groups is the “Titanic of tradition” that began at the turn of the first century A.D. The era of Constantine, the Protestant Reformation and the German evolutionary rationalism of the 18 and 19th centuries has led people away from the simplicity of God’s way described in Scripture. Rather than a simple religious system, religion has become an academic pursuit based in argument and interpretation. An understanding of the basics of God’s word in a loving relationship as described by Scripture is what the Church of God strives for.
