Have you ever worried about being deceived by false teachers? Deception and false prophets have been around since well before the time of Christ, and deception is predicted to intensify as the time of the end approaches. We the elect can be confident that we will not be deceived by false prophets, false teachers, even if they show signs and wonders. If we carefully use the two convicting agents from God – the Word of God and the spirit of God, we will not be deceived.

Jim serves as an elder in the Big Sandy (East Texas), Texarkana, TX, and Ruston, LA congregations. He and his wife Laurel also enjoy traveling and visiting other UCG congregations. He attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas from 1990 – 1994 and currently works in the IT department of a local hospital. He enjoys watching and playing sports, and loves working with children.  He and Laurel direct UCG preteen Camp Gilmont.
