Discipleship

The Path to Perfection

Luke 10:38-42   David Horvath explains the basic lesson of discipleship taught by Jesus in this and other passages.  Martha didn't miss out on salvation because she was busy serving the physical needs of Jesus and the disciples.  Jesus pointed out to her that her worries and frustration over physical things should be secondary to learning about the spiritual mind of Christ. Discipleship is the only way to Christian maturity. It doesn't happen as a matter of course, but must be chosen and deliberately and actively sought.

David is originally from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree from Ambassador College in 1989. After living five years in the Birmingham, Alabama area, he and his family moved to the Nashville area in 1995 where he and his wife Regina, also an Ambassador College graduate, run a custom home design-build business. David enjoys trail bike riding, weight training, and being a spectator at his three daughters’ volleyball games and track and field meets.
