Many times in our obedience to God, following the physical rules can become a matter of routine that we do without giving much thought to the process. Tithing is an example of that; in this day and age we can set up electronic payments so that it's done automatically and we don't even need to think about it. However, it can be easy to neglect the part of our obedience that includes honoring God. We need to do what He tells us to do, in a manner that also honors Him.
