Does the Bible Teach Hell?

Mainline Christianity has the doctrine of an ever-burning hell as a core belief. Yet non-Christians see this as a cruel way of dealing with non-believing, or sinful people and often criticize any being that would employ such a punishment. Steven Holladay is a professor at the University of Georgia, and also serves as Department Head, Biosciences and Diagnostic Imaging.
