Ears to Hear

Jesus’ coming was expected (prophesied), yet much of what He said and did was unexpected. Because of this seeming contradiction, many refused to believe and many actively opposed Him. Jesus appealed to those who would set aside their own notions and deeply ponder the words of Scripture. Jesus would speak to those who were humble enough to listen, even if the words took them in surprising directions. Do I have ears to hear? Do you? How can we benefit from pondering this question?
