Matthew 24:3-5 2 Peter 2:1-3 In the Olivet Prophecy, the very first thing that Jesus warned would be prevalent in the end of the age before He returns is false teaching.  He said that many would come pretending to be representatives of Christ, appropriating His name and, in so doing, deceive many. That has been going on in the world for almost two thousand years.  People have been taught a false message about a false christ.  And, this false message will no doubt be intensified in the years just ahead of us.   But this dire warning is for true Christians as well.
