Great leaders in the Bible and in the world have often given farewell speeches to their people. A farewell speech is often a summary of what they've learned over the years of their lives, usually honest and sincere, looking at what they think would be best for their followers in the future. A farewell speech is usually freer of politics and personal agendas than most speeches, which makes them more valuable to heed for our own good.   Mr. Morris covers some farewell speeches in the Scriptures, the lessons gleamed from them and how we can apply their lessons in our own lives.

Arthur Morris

Arthur was born in Wheeling, W.Va. Grew up in Ohio. He studied engineering at Ohio State and in the U.S. Air Force, becoming an Aircraft Performance Engineer. In 1956 Arthur married Rilla Maxwell, who attended Bliss Business College.

He flew B-36 bomber during the cold war as a deterrent to Russia, and attained the rank of a Captain. After the war, he bought a farm near Perrysville, Ohio, and studied Business Administration at Ashland, University.

Arthur has attended the Church of God since 1966, and was ordained into the ministry in 1980. Has been speaking and serving in the Mansfield United Church of God for 15 years. As a hobby he still loves working on the farm.
