Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd.  This message illustrates the care and love He has for His disciples through the analogy of a four-course feast.  Jesus ensured that His disciples would not be lost after they scattered from Him at the time of His arrest and trial at the hands of the Jewish leaders. After His resurrection, He restored His disciples to Himself.
