The gates of hell or the power of the grave (Hades) will not prevail against the church...which means it will not die out. But is there more to what Christ is saying here about his church and the gates of Hell here? If we are to understand our purpose as a body there is much we must understand about what Christ said about his church and how it fits with the unseen spiritual realm.
