The statement that the Bible is just a collection of stories handed down from generation to generation is a myth when you see that many generations of Adam and Noah were alive at the same time. Noah lived 350 years after the Flood and died some 50 years after Abraham was born. Shem was alive longer than Abraham and Jacob was 50+ years when he died. Did they have access to those with first-hand experience of what it like before the flood would dispel the myth of oral tradition.
