God is Here

We can get discouraged when we feel like God isn't answering our prayers. When we look for God in the small details of our lives we can be encouraged knowing He is here, actively engaged in our lives. Examples from The Bible showing God was there in times of difficulty when people felt forgotten. How to stay focused on God and His promises and not be distracted and discouraged by current problems we face in this world. 

Joe Greene

Joe has been a member of God’s Church since 1984.  He and his wife Brenda have spent their careers working with persons with disabilities of all ages.  Joe holds a Masters Degree in Education. Together, Joe and Brenda have been able to serve God’s people in Illinois, Wisconsin and now in Virginia.  Joe was ordained a local elder in April of 2011 and was hired by the United Church of God in 2023 to pastor the Richmond and Roanoke congregations in Virginia, along with serving as the Human Resource Manager for the Church.
