In the 16th chapter of Genesis, it tells the story of the Egyptian maid, Hagar and her son Ishmael. An angel of the Lord appeared to Hagar and gave a prophecy about the son she would bear. Hagar then referred to the LORD as “…the-God-Who-Sees.” The Bible tells us: “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous.” (Ps. 34:10).
