God’s Children of Promise

There are laws that God has instituted for man that He does not abide by in the same way. For example, when we loan to our neighbor we are not supposed to charge interest. Yet God also says that when we lend to the poor, He will pay us back, and as many of us know from personal experience, He does so, with interest. Deuteronomy 21:15 (The right of the firstborn.) There are many examples in the Bible where God overrules this law. By doing so He demonstrates that regardless of one’s birth order, He has the ultimate say in deciding who He will bless, who He will call, and to whom He will give an inheritance. How does this apply to us? Romans 9:1-17, 21
