Going with God or Going Green

Eastern mysticism and human secularism join beliefs in Gaiaism, the central of which is that the earth is a living being. While God instructs us to dress and keep the earth, He never intended for us to worship the creation.

The title of the sermon today is, Going with God or Going Green? Steve Arnold was talking just before services and said the blue is now the new green, because in the office buildings you turn down the heat till you turn blue. So that would be going green.

So what are the implications of the movement that parades under several different labels? These labels include Gaia, and I'll be explaining more about Gaia. It's spelled G-A-I-A. Going green, global warming, and climate change. The spinoffs from this movement are not limited to the environment. In fact, its tentacles permeate virtually every human institution and all facets of human endeavor.

It involves one's view of the nature of God and the nature of man. One of the handmaidens of Gaia is the human potential movement. Many of its proponents, such as Oprah Winfrey, speak of spirituality and discovering the God that is within each person. Many of the people associated with this sometimes speak of Christ also, God and Christ.

But the movement is basically dominated by secular humanism and by Eastern mysticism. Now those are strange bedfellows indeed, secular humanism and Eastern mysticism. Secular humanism relies on so-called scientific method and scientific knowledge to save humankind.

And Eastern mysticism focuses on the perfection of humankind through transcendental meditation and other mystical religious practices. There's a common thread that runs throughout all of these names that is religious in nature. And that common thread is pantheism. Pantheism is virtually as old as humankind. And pantheism literally means the pan comes from the Greek word all and theism for theos or God. So all is God and God is all. The pantheists, the neo-pagans, and many of those who are behind the Going Green, the Gaia movement, global warming, climate change, and all those things are pantheists.

They believe that God is in this wood here that makes this lectern that God is in you, that's in your seat as well. The central thesis of Gaia is the belief that the earth is a living organism much like a human being is. And that the earth has its various appendages. It has plant life and animal life. And that it is, in essence, a living, moving kind of being, much like you would talk about the human body and its various appendages.

And they must work together. When we view the earth in a theological sense, we could conclude that the earth was created for man as opposed to man being created for the earth. And the anthropocentric kind of view of the universe, anthro being man and central, that the universe, I think it's pronounced anthro, anthro, anthro-opic view of the universe, that the universe, the earth, was made for man and not man for the universe.

And God never intended that we should worship the creation, but that we should worship the great Creator. The earth is and of itself composed of minerals and does not possess life, contrary to what Gaea teaches. God created it, though, to sustain life. Let's turn to Genesis 2. Genesis 2, shortly after God had created humankind and breathed into them the breath of life.

In Genesis 2.7, we go to Genesis 2.8. Genesis 2, verse 8. The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed, and out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of the knowledge of good and evil. So the earth was put here to sustain life, and from the earth, of course, plants grow, and from the plants animals can eat, human beings can eat both plants and animals.

However, Gaia, going green, and many of those who adhere to global warming and climate change, would say that you should not eat animals because that takes far more from the environment that is replaced. Also in Genesis 2, verse 15. The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. Surely God intends that we dress and keep the earth. There's no question that man has polluted the earth.

There are warnings about eating too much fish because of mercury, even the waters here in the Gulf and around the world are contaminated with mercury and various other contaminants. There are great bodies of water that are almost dead. The Black Sea is one such body of water. Smog hovers over many of the cities of the world. Many of the diseases that ravage mankind can be attributed to the fact that we have polluted our air, our water, and our soil.

But the battle that is currently raging centers on whether human activity is responsible for global warming or, as they're now calling it, climate change. The world of academia, the greenies, the political left, the secular humanists, many of the so-called progressives, the mainstream media, and the majority of the entertainment world have embraced the Gaya movement, the Going Green movement.

Their warnings are dire. Human survival is at stake. The polar caps are melting. The oceans are rising. Great cities may sink in the near future as ocean waters rise. We must do something to curb the carbon-spewing activities of man or die. And so one of the most popular slogans is Going Green. You'll see it throughout the cities around the world. You'll see it in businesses. The Going Green emblem is everywhere. And if you're going to be politically correct, you must get on the bandwagon.

The city of Cambridge, Massachusetts, in recent days, has announced that the city is city fathers, are seriously considering passing an ordinance that prohibits the inhabitants of Cambridge from eating meat on Monday, make everybody a Catholic, and also that you would be taxed for the carbon that you use or that you spew out. I guess they can't wait to see if Congress ever passes cap and trade. It looks like maybe they won't. And I can tell you if they do, it will surely change your budget, and it will also change a lot of things in this country.

And more and more people will be out of work because it will have a great economic impact. But we need to be careful how we respond to all of this. There's no question in my mind that we're witnessing climate change. The climate has changed many times through the centuries. But that doesn't necessarily mean that we are witnessing global warming, or that if global warming were true, that can necessarily be attributed to the activities of man.

One of the things that I've seen in my lifetime is what I call a shift in the seasons. I grew up in southeast Mississippi on a farm, and we started planting corn in the middle of March. You cannot plant corn today in the middle of March. Now you can, and some few people might take that gamble and get away with it, but very often you'll have frost as far south as Houston in April. So you can have a climate shift or a shift in the seasons. We see that in some parts of the world that it is very dry.

We're witnessing extreme weather patterns in several regions of the world. Australia has been ravaged by a drought that has lasted well over a year. They've gotten a little bit of relief. Venezuela, Argentina, and other countries in South America have been experiencing severe drought.

They're even rationing water in Venezuela. They had a tremendous heat wave in Brazil and Argentina and in South America. You know, the southern hemisphere is currently experiencing summer. It's roughly equivalent to what may be the latter part of July here in our summer. Several provinces in China are in the throes of severe drought. On the other hand, there's water standing in my backyard and has been for a long time. But this summer, I would have given anything to have had some water standing in the backyard because the earth was as iron.

So we tend to draw conclusions based on our experience. And some reason would go, some might reason like this. Well, every time I've been to El Paso, it rained. In two days that I went to El Paso, it rained. Therefore, it rains every day in El Paso. The U.S.

is experiencing one of the coldest winters on record. They've had to postpone some of their global warming conferences because of these great snowstorms. But at the same time, there are areas in the world that are experiencing extreme heat waves. Some areas of the world are too dry, some are too wet. The Word of God makes it clear that when all is said and done, God can control the weather when and if He decides to do so.

Let's note a prophecy now in Amos 4. God even gave Satan permission to influence the weather in the trial of Job. You remember in Job 1 how that this storm and firestorm came up and destroyed Job's family. And we can read about that in Job. But we want to go now to Amos 4, Hosea Joel Amos. And notice here this prophecy will begin in verse 6. Amos basically prophesied to the 10 tribes to the north, the northern 10 tribes. In Amos 4 verse 6, I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities.

Cleanness of teeth in the Bible symbolizes famine. There's not anything to eat. Cleanness of teeth and want of bread of parallelism there in all your places, yet you've not returned unto Me, says the Lord. And also I have withheld the rain from you when there were yet three months to the harvest. And I cause it to rain upon one city and cause it not to rain upon another city. One piece was rained upon and the piece whereupon it rained withered, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

So God can control the weather. You know, during the days of Joseph, when he had interpreted the dream of Pharaoh, the Pharaoh had the dream about the seven fat years and the seven lean years. And there have been famines many times during the days of Elijah. Elijah prayed and it didn't rain for three years. So when all is said and done, of course, God can control the weather. And human activity can affect the weather.

Gravitational pull of the moon affects the weather. Volcanic activity, the ocean tides, there are so many things that affect the weather. But God can affect it. And one of the ways that he has tried to plead with people, as we see here, through the centuries, is by affecting the weather. We've seen an increase in earthquakes. We have seen tremendous extreme weather patterns all over the world. Verse 8, so two or three cities wandered into one city to drink water, but they were not satisfied.

And yet, you not returned to me, says the Eternal. So now we're going to take a closer look at the Gai of Movement and how its tentacles permeate nearly every facet of human activity. In the early going of this, some of you might want to nod off and go to sleep, but we have those in the audience. I want the ushers to stand up with whips. And because some of it is a bit heavy and technical at first, but then I think it's necessary to get an understanding of what it really means.

And what I'm going to do, everyone that's on email, I am going to email this PowerPoint presentation to you. It's really outside of this first slide. It's just verbiage. So if you're on email, you'll need PowerPoint to be able to view it. You can download PowerPoint free of charge, I believe, from the internet. But if you don't have PowerPoint, you'll need to download PowerPoint so you can open it and you can view all of the slides. Here we have, first of all, from space, a view of what must be so awesome.

We had Rich and his wife, Deborah, were able to view this latest launch from the Cape this past week. He said it was a most awesome kind of experience. And to think about what those astronauts see when they look back down on this beautiful orb that we call the Earth. The entropic, I would say, the universe is entropic. It was made for man because God wants to share who he is and what he is with humankind. Gaea, pronounced either Gaea or Gaea, is from the ancient Greek or the coiny Greek. It's the primal Greek god. It's personifying the Earth, the Greek version of Mother Nature. So the Greek version of Mother Nature. And what they have done now is to try to pull together.

It's a combination of a theological, philosophical, and so-called scientific view of the Earth, and to some degree the universe, but especially the Earth, to try to make it into a living organism.

That using the human analogy again that has lungs and would breathe in and out and have life.

According to Greek mythology, Gaea and her offspring gave birth to much of the universe. So Gaea is in some ways viewed as the creator.

Mother Earth, more and more people are embracing the concept of the Earth as a single living, seven-it being as a living organism. Earth consciousness. This idea holds that the Earth has evolved into a fully functioning, self-regulating organism, complete with consciousness and personal awareness. Thus, all natural cycles, ecosystems, and organisms are part of her life support system, just as our blood cells, lungs, and hormones are part of us. Now, in some ways, in some of this, to a limited degree, some of this is true. It doesn't make the Earth alive, but you can pollute the Earth, as we've already mentioned. But the fact that it can be polluted, or it could be beautified, you can dress it and keep it, doesn't make it a living organism. But it does sustain living organisms, plant and animal life. The Earth is a superorganism, according to Gaeaism.

The superorganism consisting of many organs. This term is used for the highest level of social organization in a hierarchical classification. Now, they take that and they go from physical science into human relationships and human organizations and human structures, as we shall see. And it's permeating all institutions, and especially educational institutions in the western world. And what this means, you look at this last sentence, where division of labor is highly specialized, and where individuals are not able to survive by themselves for extended periods of time.

The idea, of course, of world government is to bring human beings to the point that they believe that they must have an all-inclusive worldwide system linked together in order to survive. Superorganism and collective activity. The technical definition of superorganism, a collection of agents which could act in concert to produce phenomena governed by the collective.

Phenomena being any activity, the hive wants. And they have studied bees, they've studied ants, and each in a beehive, each one has a particular function to play, so that the whole of the community or the hive can act together. You have the queen bee, and you have the drones, and you have the workers, and so on. And they're all highly specialized. Now much of that has come over into American industry, into business, and it can increase efficiency to some degree.

It just depends on how far you make it and whether or not you make man into a mechanistic kind of robotic being, or whether you allow him to continue to have a mind that can think and reason.

Superorganism implication. Ants and naked mole rats are the best example of such a superorganism.

They exhibit a form of distributed intelligence. It just means a system in which many individual agents with limited intelligence and information are able to pool resources to accomplish a goal beyond the capabilities of the individuals. Much like what we already have talked about, that everybody working in concert together, performing their roles, can sustain the life of the ant colony, the beehive, or I don't know what they call mole rats. Existence of such behavior and organisms as many implications for military and management applications, and is being actively researched. Existence of such behavior and organisms as many implications for military and management. You've already said goal is to integrate all human activity into the superorganism. So that all of this, the whole earth and everything in it, plant and animal functions together much like a beehive would with everyone playing their particular role.

Mother earth is the superorganism and thus all human activity would be a superorganism.

And that's why we're here today. We're going to be an extension of working in harmony with mother earth.

World government and Copenhagen, even though the Copenhagen summit seemed to fizzle and fail, many far-reaching agreements were reached with the G20 nations having to do with restrictions placed upon business and industry throughout the world, especially having to do with carbon emission. I suspect that they will continue to hammer on this until they reach some kind of accords. Now, India this past week or the week before announced that they were withdrawing from this. That is, from the G20 and whatever was agreed upon. China and India are the, along with the United States, are the three greatest polluters, as it were, and those who spew carbon into the atmosphere more than the other of the nations.

Superorganism applied to human activity. This concept is now being applied to human institutions and organizations as it parades under the banner of communitarianism.

Communitarianism is a new buzzword, and it goes hand in glove with community organizer.

You've heard about someone who came from being a community organizer to being the president of the United States. Thus, we have the terms global community and global village. Remember Hillary Clinton's book title? It takes a village to raise a child. Human beings are being organized into a beehive kind of structure with the elites being the queen bee. Community organizer. The plant is being implemented gradually. You start with neighborhoods, communities, and then extend it.

One of the things that has come about in this Green Movement is that the federal government, in the name of eminent domain, has taken over more and more land.

They've taken over grasslands, prairie lands. They've taken over forest lands. They've taken over places that are called national heritage places. And so, more and more land is being garnered under the umbrella of the government. At the same time, more and more people, in order to make a living, are being forced into the cities. So now, worldwide, you have more people living in cities than you do in the rest of the earth. And in some countries, 90% of the people live in urban areas. I would imagine we're approaching that in the United States.

Implications of communitarianism and parenting. Make the community be the parent. Community should share joint custody of children with parents. Require registration inspection of young children so that the community can monitor child development and not lose track of the children for which it is responsible. Also, calls for a parenting license. You have a child, you go down to, I guess you would go down to human services, get your license to rear your child. But of course, you're not capable by yourself. We've got to help you with that.

End of masculine domination. And of course, here's one of the elements of the feminist movement in which the feminist movement is very much behind the green movement. Because one of the tenets of the green movement is to do away with masculine domination. Move the family structure, especially from a patriarchal kind of structure to a matriarchal structure. And to a large degree, that has already been accomplished.

So they say we need to end masculine domination both in the family and in society so that we can create a cultural climate in which the sustainable society can exist.

Now you're going to see this term here, the sustainable society, over and over. In other words, how much human activity and how many human beings can the world sustain? We believe that they would say that the world can only sustain X number, and we have to control the population below a certain figure. Some advocate that the earth can only sustain and live in perfect harmony with no more than 500 million human beings. Now that would be not quite twice the population of the U.S., which at the present time is 300 million, maybe 310 million. The world population now is bumping on 7 billion.

So you would see what a reduction in population that would be. They say that patriarchy is a threat to the planet, and this guy named Garbarino, who's written so much on this, devotes an entire chapter on this subject because he believes we need to have a more feminine ethic to survive. His book has probably never been fully embraced by feminists because he believes women should be out working in the gardens and fields producing the household foods. Now, another interesting statistic just released in the past two or three weeks is that now in the U.S. workforce there are more women in the U.S. workforce than there are men. And it's easier for a woman to get a job, and I know this firsthand from grandchildren in recent times, to get a job than it is for a man. Now that's a generalization, and of course it's not true in every case in every place. The Rule of Women, the book of Isaiah prophesies in Isaiah 3 and verse 12. Isaiah is one of the most interesting books in the Bible, probably one of the least focused on. It is so long, so big, I think it scares people. 66 chapters. We really ought to cover Isaiah in detail. In Isaiah 3.12, as for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. All my people, they which lead you, cause you to err and destroy the way of your paths. And to a large degree, the reason for this is because the men have abdicated their position of leadership, and it's been that way for quite a long time in this nation. In fact, as this nation was carved out of the wilderness, and as the settlers push from east to west, when you would go to various communities and a new settlement was developed, it was generally the women who said, hey, we need a school here. We need a church here. We need more than just a building and land to grow food. We need another dimension to our lives. And to a large degree in this nation, see, manliness and masculinity was measured by what a man would produce. Whereas, if you read the Bible, God talks about how the man should fulfill spiritual duties within the household. Feminine and homosexual children. One of the spin-offs of gay of movement, the green movement, secular humanism, all of those kind of movements that would deny God as the creator. How do I know this? All I got to do is look in Romans 1-26-28. What are the consequences of worshiping the creation more than the Creator is that, for this cause, God gave them up to vile affections. For even their women to change the natural use into that which is against nature.

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their less, one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was fitting. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do those things that are not convenient. So the spin-off from worshiping the creation more than the Creator is, as I said, it just permeates every facet of human activity. Superorganism in cybernetics is really very interesting. And cybernetics is a field of study to some degree within itself.

Superorganisms are imported in cybernetics, particularly bio-cybernetics or biological cybernetics. Cybernetics is the interdisciplinary study of the structure of complex systems, especially communication processes, control mechanisms, and feedback principles.

I don't know if you remember, any of you remember, if you do raise your hand, the psycho-cybernetics craze that sort of hit the church in the early 70s. We see a few hands go up.

I remember very distinctly one Sabbath that Nari Ted Armstrong came to the campus in Big Sandy, and he had this book. And there were a couple of leading ministers who had been giving seminars on this, and he got up and I think he ripped out a page. He threw it on the stage and stomped on it. He didn't think very highly of it. Of course, in psycho-cybernetics, this book written by Maxwell Maltz is the very foundational book of all the self-help kind of books that just fulfills the bookstores today. And some of the principles in this do work, but they are not spiritual principles per se derived from the Bible, and there's surely no remedy for sin within it. It basically has to do with making the most of your ability in the human potential movement. So we'll look at this a minute. Psycho-cybernetics, classic self-help book written by Maxwell Maltz in 1960, published by the non-profit Psycho-Cybernetics Foundation. Motivational and self-help experts in personal development, including Zig Ziegler and Ziegler, Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, have based their techniques on Maxwell Maltz. This past, what was it, Monday or Tuesday here in Houston, you had a great conference with these motivational speakers in Houston. The Toyota Center was totally sold out. The adjoining buildings were sold out. There were people lined up in the streets. They had Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of New York and Republican candidate for the nomination back in the 1970s.

Back in this last election, I think Sarah Palin showed up. Several other well-known figures from motivational speaking and entertainment were over there.

Go back to that, please.

Many of the psychological methods of training elite athletes are based on the concepts in psycho-cybernetics. The book combines the cognitive behavioral technique of teaching individuals how to regulate self-concept developed by Prescott Leckie with the cybernetics of Norbert Weiner and John von Neumann. The book defines the mind-body connection as the core and succeeding in attaining personal goals. The father of psycho-cybernetics was a mathematician. Norbert Weiner, who spent World War II refining guided missile technology. So, this Maltz, who wrote the book, was a plastic surgeon. He had seen what plastic surgery and the change of one's facial appearance would do for their self-concept. So, Maltz thought, why would the technology behind the guided missiles of a constant feedback loop, why couldn't that be applied to human activity and achievement? He realized the key point about the loop is that it gains in automaticity or automatic when the target or goal is very clearly fixed.

When you first learn to drive, you have to worry about every car and process, every sign ahead of you on the road. The result is that you move slowly and are vulnerable to getting lost.

In time, however, driving becomes easy because you know your destination when you sit behind the wheel and body and mind automatically do what it is necessary to do to reach your destination. So, Maltz came up with the idea that self-image was the golden key to a better life.

You know, the Bible says that as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. There was another man named Norman Vincent Peale who wrote the book, The Power of Positive Thinking. The power of positive thinking will take you a certain distance, but you can positively think all you want to, and it will not remove your sins, and it will not point you necessarily in the point of in the path of righteousness because that is reveal knowledge from God Almighty Himself.

But what Maltz did, he took this a step farther than just positive thinking, he also said that the mind really is a collection of images and that you have to picture what you are going to do, and then comes this thing of visualization, which you've probably heard about. You visualize what you want to do, and then your conscious mind picks that up, and then the subconscious mind does.

And it goes from there. He writes, the brain thinks in terms of images. Therefore, if you can consciously create the desired image of yourself, the brain and nervous system will automatically provide itself with constant feedback to ensure that it lives up to the preordained image. So now that goes back to the missile system where you can program this missile to reach its destination because it is so finely focused and honed in, and there's all this big feedback loop back to the computer, wherever it is, that will get that missile to hit the exact target.

In a well-known clinical experiment, one group of basketballers was physically trained to throw more balls through the hoop. In other words, they shot free throws and various shots and physically practiced the skill of making a basket.

Despite the absence of any physical practice, the second group was merely taught to visualize making the basket. The brain, nervous system, and muscles are obeying servants of pictures placed in the head, but the ability of your body and brain to manifest the desired self-image depends upon its indelibility. In other words, it has to be tattooed or stamped on the brain.

With such a strong image of ourselves, it would be difficult not to live out and manifest all that is associated with the self-image. Instead of just having goals, you become the goal or the goals. And so the group that did the mental practice outperformed those who did the actual physical practice. Now, this has had it spilled over into the world of religion, of course, and you bring on Joel and Victoria Osteen. Joel and Victoria Osteen and a host of others are drawing record crowds, and of these motivational speakers, who draw principles from this self-image, self-motivation kind of information, drawing record crowds as they employ the techniques of psychosibernetics, coupled with talk about God or what God has in store for you if you will get your thoughts in line with what God has in store for you. So I saw a bit of Joel this past week and Victoria, and it was about what God has in store for you in 2010. If you will just visualize what God has in store for you, then you will be able to reach He has in store for you what you cannot even imagine. But you can picture yourself. All you may feel down and out and beaten at the present time. But God has a plan for your life, and all you have to do is name it and claim it kind of thing. And Joel and Victoria have been immensely successful, and many, many others are getting on the bandwagon. Another thing that this superorganism and beehive kind of thing lends itself to, and we see this to some degree in the church, and I'm not against it altogether, various organizations, including churches, are using various evaluation and feedback mechanisms.

Virtually every news program today on television says we want to know what you think.

You email us, you call us, let us know what you think, and then they will say whatever percent thinks this. And of course what they're doing is employing Hegelian dialectics of thesis, antithesis to reach the synthesis that they've already determined that's where they want to go in the first place. The evaluation forms and surveys are tallied, and organizations use the data to formulate strategic plans and programs. It is in essence a mass form of the Hegelian dialectic, as the masses' wishes are homogenized to determine the new thesis.

Evaluation and surveys caution. These instruments are popular with various organizations because the laity believes that their input will make a difference in the planning of future programs.

When we introduced or united introduced the congregational input and surveys, and they are of some value, I'm not knocking that all together by any means, but the results and the behavioral change that comes from it is fairly minimal. As you have probably noticed, as you have done your surveys, you get some feedback, you get some evaluation, and those who are in tune can take cues from it and try to change and try to sharpen their programs.

The data gleaned from these instruments can be used in a variety of ways to justify what was planned in the first place. Now, you can search the Bible. You will not find any evidence of the use of any such instruments. Nearest is perhaps Acts 6, where they are instructed to seek out men of good report. But I still think they have their place, and they can be beneficial. It just depends on how far you take it and what you think you are accomplishing with it.

Cybernetics is closely related to control theory and systems theory. In layman's terms, cybernetics has to do with networking and how systems relate to each other. We have the term cyberspace applied to the internet, and people engage in cyberspace kind of activities, even sexual kind of things. They had a big pornographic conference of the world in Las Vegas this past week, and the porn industry is in trouble. Are you weeping? The reason for it is that now so much of it is available free on the internet. GEO religion. So, GEO mother earth has been elevated to a goddess replacing God as the creator, savior, and ultimate source of life to the New Age movement.

And one of the spinoffs of this concept is the view that humanity has become a parasite on the earth, and thus human civilization needs to be severely reduced and restructured to ensure the survival of the great host organism, mother earth. Neopagans, environmentalists, and many scientists now identify themselves as gayans. Politicians in Hollywood in League. And you see more and more of the Hollywood types, actors and actresses that are trotted out to support these various movements. Many politicians in League with Hollywood personalities who have made environmentalism, global warming into a religion of worshiping the earth. Witness the fact that one of the most influential Democrats of our times, Al Gore, won an Oscar for his documentary, the movie titled, An Inconvenient Truth.

Millions of people around the world have been whipped into a religious fervor over saving the planet. I've even seen some news items in which it's talked about grammar school children in the United Kingdom and England were not able to sleep at night because they're worried about mother earth. This is the degree to which some of them have been whipped up into a frenzy, politically correct. If you want to be elected to an office in the U.S., you have to be in tune with the Green Movement. To be in the end crowd of society, you need to be in sympathy with the Green Movement. Of course, we should protect the environment, address the garden, and keep it as God commanded, but God never intended that we would worship the creation more than the Creator.

Paganism and Pantheism. Gaea and New Age religion are merely forms of pagan pantheism.

Pantheism, the belief that God is all and all is God, we've already mentioned.

Pagans developed a God for most natural phenomena with emphasis on reproduction.

And we'll get to because in just a second, but let's look at the two opposing views.

There's an irony in this of two opposing views.

One is population control and return to subsistence living with the creation, living in harmony with Gaea Mother Earth. This view is anti-technology and anti-industrialization.

Then the other view, which is currently the prevailing view, number two, the second view is to use technology to lower greenhouse gases, reduce global warming, redistribute wealth, do away with poverty, and bring the world a new era of peace and prosperity. Now, Hillary Clinton, on some of her visits, she's committed as much as $100 billion to various third world nations to help them get in harmony with this movement.

At present, the second concept is being pursued. The first concept is in the background.

The save the planet concept is many tentacles that run throughout all facets of our lives.

Education curricula at all levels are involved in the Green Movement because businesses, industry from McDonald's to Microsoft, are caught up in the Green Movement. And you'll see it when you go to nearly every business building.

Humanism is intertwined so completely at the core of communism and socialism. It's no surprise that this humanistic group think education serves the purpose of paralyzing individual thinking.

The group, the state, and eventually one world government must be superior to the individual at all costs. Groups of servience and group consensus is vital.

Deception through public opinion and polling, we've already talked about that to some degree, that the illusion must always be given that the public is determining their destiny and democracy at it is at work. Whereas in truth, the desired outcome has already been determined.

The secular humanists control the curriculum of the schools. The secular humanists have been entrenched since the 80s and 90s.

Without a great cultural shift took place. Go back one, please.

With God successfully rooted out of the secular school system, you can't even read the Bible now at school, much less say a prayer and quote the Ten Commandments or anything like that. Many times the void was filled with teaching of yoga, self-hypnosis, meditation, altered states of consciousness, induction techniques of deep breathing and progressive relaxation. So, the cars and cows must go.

Cars, because they spew the carbon emission in and well, or the cows have emissions as well.

Both are supposedly responsible for wreaking havoc on planet Earth, spelled with capital C, and because there's CO2 output, well, one, a matter of life, or the other, a matter of mechanization.

You know, plants take in CO2.

I'm sorry, plants take in oxygen, give off CO2.

I have reversed it. Plants take in CO2 and give off oxygen. Got it right that time.

And we take in oxygen, so there is a kind of symbiotic relationship between these, not these artificial plants, but living plants and human beings. You know, it is said that there are more trees in North America at the present time than there were when Columbus landed on the eastern shores. So, cars, cows, and tractors have to go. The goals for sustainability, according to the latest environmental craze, require an abandonment of modern material affluence, transfer of wealth to third world countries, and unmistakably return to the manual plow, accompanied by a vegetarian diet. So, Cambridge, Massachusetts says you can't eat meat on Monday. And then, of course, the Bible says that this is a doctrine of devils.

The Spirit expressed expressly that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies and hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, commanded to abstain from meats, which God had created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. So, that is labeled in the Bible some of the facets and spin-offs of this as the doctrine of devils. The origin of paganism goes back, and Paul describes that in Romans 1.19-21. When they had a knowledge of God, they denied God, and professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and as we've already read, God gave them over to a reprobate mind. Population control.

Yale movement advocates population control based on the notion that Mother Earth can only sustain a limited number of humans. So, family planning, abortion, euthanasia are important tenets of this philosophy. And these last two, abortion, euthanasia, family planning, are important tenets of the Democrats' healthcare system.

The paradox of save the fish, kill the baby. It is estimated that over 50 million babies have been aborted in the United States since Roe v. Wade was passed.

Various family planning programs are in tune with those who advocate population control.

So, they go great lengths to save plant and animal species while aborting the very fruit of the womb. Families should be planned before pregnancy, and you use common sense when you set out to bring a child into this world. But the time for family planning is before pregnancy, not after. And, of course, many people use abortion as an excuse to avoid the consequences of disobeying the law of God.

Satan and Gaia deception. At this present time, Satan is using the Gaia and other green movement to turn people away from the great creator God, while the Satan humans into believing that they can save the planet through human effort alone.

The worship of heavenly bodies is closely connected with this movement. The worship of heavenly bodies dates back to ancient times. The book of Job talks about heavenly bodies, and evidently they may proclaim a certain story, but they were never intended to be worshiped. And so we see references to Arcturus, Orion, Pleiades, the Chambers of the South, and the book of Job.

In Amos 5.8, we find a call to worship the creator.

Seek him that makes the seven stars at Orion, who made him God.

Don't think that these are the ones that you should worship and that they have any influence on your life in the course of human events. Seek him that makes the seven stars at Orion and turns the shadow of death into the morning and makes the day dark with night.

It calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the earth.

The Eternal is his name, the Great Creator God.

Once again, professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

The pagans set up gods to represent various aspects of their lives.

And all of these gods were made into objects of worship, and thus it was their religion and worshiping the creation more than the Creator.

Israel and idolatry. Israel has had a problem with this historically, and it continues to this very day.

Soon after the death of Joshua, Israel went into idolatry and pagan worship, and they worshipped Baal, the principal male deity, and Asheroth, the principal female deity.

The groves represented the principal male reproduction organ.

Perhaps the greatest male obelisk in the world. I don't know if this is the greatest or the biggest, is the Washington Monument.

Joshua 2.8.10, after Joshua died and the generation that lived over with him, after they died, another generation arose which knew not the Lord, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel. What did they do? The children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Balaam. Now Balaam is plural of Baal. I am added in Hebrews plural, so they served the Bales. And Bales paraded under different names and different cultures, but it was basically the same, the chief male deity, usually the sun god. And they forsook the Lord their god of their fathers, that brought them out of the land that Egypt followed other gods of the gods of the people that were round about, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the eternal to anger.

They forsook the Lord the Eternal, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

Call various names, various cultures. The pagans believed that immortality was achieved through reproduction. There is a paradox in this, but in appeasing their gods, they would cause their children, the Bible terminology is to walk through the fire. In other words, they would sacrifice their children to the gods. And we have seen countless, as we have said, 50 million or more babies, innocent babies, fruit of the womb, aborted, killed in this country.

So, a great deal of emphasis was placed on symbols that represented reproduction through sexual activity. And the main symbols represented the principle male and female reproductive organs.

So phallic symbols and round-shaped symbols were used, and you see them scattered throughout various emblems and symbols of businesses today.

Astrology, a form of divination whereby through the use of metaphysical maps of the solar system, and dates significant to the recipient, like whatever your birthday is, how the cosmic forces lined up today. Cosmic forces are anticipated in the determination of daily actions, significant events, and personal destiny. So one of the main crazes now, it's all over the internet, about the Mayan calendar and other kind of prenostications that the world is coming to an end, December 21, 2012. Today, newspapers carry your horoscope. Even people who claim to be Christians often consult their horoscopes to see what the day will bring.

Of course, this is false worship, and it's against God.

Astrology and New Age thought are inexorably linked together. It is thought that the heavenly bodies reveal the cycles of human history. So there is, of course, movement in the planetary system. And the New Agers say, well, every 2100 years you move into a new sign of the zodiac.

And so they say, we have moved from the age of Pisces, or the fish. And of course, fish was a symbol of Christianity, or Christ historically, because in Greek, fish and the word for Jesus were very similar. But now they say, we have moved from Pisces into the age of Aquarius.

And a new paradigm and a new world consciousness has been brought about.

That's about the, in this shift in world consciousness from the age of monotheism characterized by male imperialism and Christian dominion to the New Age movement.

So New Age and Gaia are linked. They have many of the same tenets.

They have a pantheistic view of the earth. Solomon and paganism. Of course, the Nacens trace back their, they claim that they sprang from Solomon and Hiram. Hiram, you know, was king of Tyre. And Hiram was one of the main builders in Solomon's temple. He claimed that Hiram and Solomon had this special knowledge that would lead to immortality.

And that the Masonic lodges have preserved this information through the ages.

But the story of Solomon is one of the saddest stories in all of the Bible.

So what does Solomon, Gaia, New Agers, and Al Gore have in common?

They have turned from the worship of the true God to the worship of the pagans.

I would imagine that Al Gore would claim that he is a Christian, but when you place more attention and affection on the Green Movement than you do on the Green Movement than you do on God, I would wonder about your Christianity.

Solomon's wisdom corrupted. Remember, he prayed for wisdom, and God granted him wisdom, said he would be the wisest man that he had ever lived.

But one of the first things that Solomon did, one of the greatest mistakes that he made, was like the first pop-out of the boxes. They say that he married Pharaoh's daughter.

Solomon married Pharaoh's daughter, and he made an alliance with the king of, or Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter and brought her into the city of David until he had made an end to building his own house and the house of the Lord and the wall of Jerusalem round about.

One of the greatest ironies of Solomon's marriage to the Egyptian is the fact that she cannot enter, according to the law, she cannot enter into the congregation and the tabernacle since she was a Gentile for a certain number of generations.

You shall not abhor to Edomite, for he is your brother, you shall not abhor an Egyptian, you are a stranger in his land. The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the Lord in their third generation. So Solomon had a problem right there with his Egyptian wife. Then Solomon took many wives and concubines. King Solomon loved many strange women together with the daughters of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, the Hamanites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites. Then did Solomon build in high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. And likewise he did for all his strange wives which burned incense and sacrifice under their gods. So there's ample evidence in the Bible that Israel embraced pagan worship for centuries. In fact, according to the Bible, the altars that Solomon built lasted for about 400 years until the days of Josiah when he tore them down.

Josiah, this is 2 Kings 23, 10, Josiah begins to cleanse the land. Josiah defiled Tophath, which is the valley of the children of Hinnom, the valley of Hinnom, that's hell, you know, where the ever burning refuge was, that no man might pass his son or daughter through the fire to Molech.

So they came to the point that they were sacrificing their children to these pagan gods.

Today we have Planned Parenthood and other such kind of programs that would advocate that you sacrifice the fruit of your womb to limit the population on the face of the earth so Mother Earth, Gaea, the ancient Greek goddess, can survive.

And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the Mount of corruption, which Solomon, king of Israel, had built, Rachiroth, the abominations of Zidonians, Rachimosh of the Moabites, Milchum, abomination of children of Ammon, Josiah, tore them down.

They lasted for about 400 years. Of course, they rebuilt them again.

Ahab had his children to pass through the fire. Manasseh had his children to pass through the fire.

In fact, Manasseh built altars for all the hosts of heaven in the courts of the house of the Lord.

He built altars for these pagadiathids in the temple area.

Condoms, contraception, abortion, the cheapest way to combat climate change.

Notice what it's from. The London School of Economics.

One of the most prestigious so-called academic institutions on the face of the earth.

Now note this. September the 10th, 2009. The best way to combat global warming is to reduce the surplus population through contraception and abortion.

According to a report from the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science.

According to this report commissioned by the radical pro-abortion anti-human environmentalist group Optimum Population, trust every four pounds spent on family planning.

Over the next 40 years, we've reduced global CO2 by more than a ton.

This would outstrip the gains of spending on low-carbon technologies.

So just abort your kids, you could still have your cars.

Abortions considered are continued, and more about that, Satan plans to destroy the earth. His ultimate plan is to destroy the earth and humankind. As we read about in Isaiah, you shall not be joined with them in burial because you have destroyed your land, slain your people, and seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

God is going to step in. One of the reasons why God intervenes is if He didn't step in, there would be no flesh saved alive. As we read about here in Matthew 24, 21, 22, the Great Tribulation, the time of trouble has never been, except those days shortened, no flesh would be saved alive, but for the elect's sake, God does intervene.

You will come to pass in that day that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones, Satan and the demons, the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. They shall be gathered together as prisoners are gathered in the pit, to be shut up in the prison, and after many days they shall be visited.

I would encourage you to read Isaiah 24.

God intervenes because humankind is destroying the earth and humankind. The day is coming when all nations, in all flesh, is going to recognize the Creator more than the creation.

The last few verses here of Isaiah bring its testimony to that fact.

For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me says the Eternal. So shall your seed and your name remain, and shall come to pass from one new moon to another.

One Sabbath to another shall all flesh come to worship before me, says the Lord.

They shall go forth and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me, those that we read about in Isaiah 24, 21-22. For their worms shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched, and they shall be an imploring to all flesh.

One Sabbath to another shall all flesh worship before me, says the Eternal.

May God hasten the day in which all flesh will appear before him from one Sabbath to the other.

And may we all go with God and not go green.
