The Hope We All Have

I Thessalonians 4: 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.” In those two sentences we find summarized the hope that we all have. Jesus Christ is coming to this Earth – hopefully very soon – and will save mankind from total destruction at the last minute. He will begin the process of bringing peace to the entire world because HE will be the One taking control of all the governments of the world. Someday soon we won’t have to watch political ads on TV and see these politicians spending millions of dollars to obtain the power of the White House for 4 years. Someday soon, we won’t hear about government corruption and political infighting and bickering. Someday soon, we won’t have to hear about dictators and tyrants in foreign lands oppressing their own people while they live in luxury off the foreign aid intended for their suffering people. And someday soon, we won’t see rioting in the streets, young men throwing rocks at policemen, setting fires, looting stores with uncontrolled rage and total disregard for human decency. Those days are coming to an end!
