The focus is not on the events of that day, but on one aspect of the spiritual power that Jesus used and still uses to build His church. Have you ever considered “how” Christ builds His church? With what “tools” and power does He accomplish His marvelous work? It’s enlightening to see in the Scriptures some specific examples of these things, as He is working in our lives today in the same way. Let’s consider one of the powerful spiritual forces that God and Jesus Christ share between themselves, and that they share with us, and that we are to share with one another— love. Love—godly love—is the motivating spiritual force by which Jesus builds His church.
