A series of floods hit Australia towards the end of last year in December and early this year in January, primarily in the state of Queensland and included the area of its capital city in Brisbane. The floods caused the evacuation of thousands of people from towns and cities, and at least 70 towns and over 200,000 people were affected. Damage initially was estimated at around 1 billion Australian dollars. The estimated reduction in Australian GDP, the gross domestic reduction, is about 30 billion dollars. Three-quarters of the state of Queensland was declared a disaster zone.
That's an area, as you probably heard, bigger than Germany and probably Holland as well included. The coal industry in Australia was seriously affected, affecting therefore the economy. And those Queensland floods were then followed by the floods in Victoria, in the province of Victoria, which saw more than 50 communities in western and central Victoria also grapple with significant flooding. Brethren, today we're going to look at some of these events, but it's not just these events, it's the actual intensity of these events that is increasing, because we've had floods.
But the intensity, the size, the implication, how it affects people, the intensity of these events is increasing. And therefore, the purpose today is to show us how God is in the process of establishing His kingdom and what sort of events and crises and increasing intensity are building up to how God is establishing His kingdom on earth. So if you were to do a title for this sermon, it would be How the Kingdom of God is Being Established.
So the reason you may ask, so what? Why must I listen to these things? Well, the intent is not to be discouraging, but rather the intent is that in the midst of the crisis at this time of the end, we may find some hope and courage to use the time that we have to endure and to see the goal, which is ahead, which is Christ's kingdom, which is God's kingdom, wherein Christ will rule on earth and will bring peace and harmony and a good, stable environment to this earth in the future. And so we're looking at some events that have happened. We saw the Australian floods at the beginning of the year.
Many of us have probably already forgotten, and they were so enormous. But for instance, in January, we had floods in Brazil that some of you may have seen on TV, but in the state of Rio de Janeiro, the floods caused some 900 deaths, and the floods and a combination of mudslides and landslides became known as the worst weather-related natural disaster in Brazilian history.
So things are happening around the world. I remember after Passover, when I was in Rio, a gentleman was coming to see me, but that morning or the night before, there was such a mudslide or a landslide in an area that a boulder that was the size of a double highway actually fell on the highway, blocking the whole highway.
They couldn't just move the boulder. They had to take special jackhammers to shatter this boulder, and we'll take them a number of days to actually remove it from the highway to open the highway. So this gentleman was many hours delayed to the meeting because of detours on the highway. In other areas, for instance, in Thailand, in late March, during the middle of what was becoming their dry season, they had a tropical floods or heavy rains in the southern region of over 47 inches of rain suddenly in some areas in which 53 people died and almost 2 million people were affected, affecting 50 of Thailand's 76 provinces.
Close to 400,000 acres of land were submerged. You think about that. That's a lot, and 5,000 households were evacuated. Then in April, and it's still happening now, you're fully aware of the Mississippi River floods that have happened and where amongst the largest and most damaging recorded in the U.S. waterway in the past century compared to major floods that occurred in 1927 and 1993. So what we see is the intensity, not just floods or disasters, but things getting stronger. For instance, in June, in the province, in a northern province or state in Brazil, they had also tremendous floods that the the river there that separates that province to the Amazon flooded so that the roads were impossible.
I know, and I paid attention to this because one of our members from Bolivia went to Boa Vista to keep, to work there, but at the same time to keep Pentecost with the brethren in the indigenous area outside Boa Vista, about 30 miles or so outside Boa Vista, and they could not go there because the roads were impossible, not impossible, but impossible with an A. They couldn't pass through the roads, and the river was flooded that the bridge they could not get across.
So it just shows it's happening everywhere. It's even affecting brethren in some way. The brethren there are agricultural people, and one would think, well, they've had a lot of rain. Yes, but they've had a lot of rain and they've not been able to plant. That is a major trouble to the brethren there, because if they can't plant now, because now it's the time of the rainy season, they're not going to have a crop at the end of this year, and therefore it's going to affect the brethren there.
Currently, in June this year, this past month, till now, in China, they have had floods. They've inundated 12 provinces, and they still, at the same time, in neighboring provinces, they're having a prolonged drought. So it's just strange how things are happening and the intensity. And let's say, in China, a total of over 10 million people have been affected, with a direct economic loss of 3.3 billion US dollars. And on the 22nd of June, the Chinese government set aside 53 billion dollars for flood relief. So we see things happening around the world just getting worse and worse and worse.
Natural, let's call it causes, or natural disasters, but becoming worse and worse. I want you to look at one scripture here in Matthew 24 verse 7 and 8. Matthew 24 verse 7 and 8.
Because Christ is here talking about things happening towards the end of the age, and He talks about the year of wars and rumors of wars. See, there do not be trouble for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation and the kingdom against kingdom. So He's, in a sense, is hinting at an increase in intensity. Really, you've got wars and then you get these things. And so He's actually talking about an increase in intensity, and there'll be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. And obviously, we know of earthquakes. For instance, in Japan, you've heard how the earthquake early on this year, in March, hit magnitude 9, magnitude on the Richter scale. And then it caused the tsunami that we all very well aware we saw it on the news, causing damages of about some 28,000 people dead or missing, and about 500,000 people. That's half a million people displaced from their homes. And obviously, today, we're well aware of the radiation concerns that they have there that was subsequent because of that tsunami.
The World Bank estimates that Japan's disaster will cost between $100 and $235 billion and will take five years to rebuild. This is worse than the $125 billion from Hurricane Katrina.
So it's like two or three times more expensive to repair the damage there, according to the World Bank, than will be to repair the damage from Hurricane Katrina. So we actually are seeing intensity increasing. But you know, it's very good for us to actually read and reread not only the Bible, but use our church booklets as a form of Bible study to study deeper the Bible.
And one of the booklets we have, it's called, Are We Living in a Time of the End?
Now, in that booklet, there is a section that draws our attention to this word of earthquakes in Matthew 24 verse 7. And it was something I had not noticed before, and probably you have not noticed before. But in the booklet, it draws our attention that the word in Greek for earthquakes, yeah, in Matthew 24 verse 7, is the word seismos, you know, from where we get words like seismology, and that's the study of waves and things like that, and waves and vibrations. But according to the Strong's concordance, it says the word at that time it meant a commotion.
And it says it could be a commotion in the air or a commotion in the ground. Now, commotion in the air is like gale, tempest, strong winds, tornadoes, is a commotion in the air. So that word for earthquakes, it's got a greater implication than just earthquakes, as you and I see it today, but as an implication to, let's call it natural causes or disasters or weather-related things.
And because of that, I thought this was very interesting because we've seen a lot of natural disasters happening around the world today. For instance, we are fully aware of the great fires that are rampant in Arizona. I heard on the news this past week that they say there is about 800 fires this year alone, and summer is still young, put it this way. We're still early into the summer.
And then what are the compounding implications from this? Well, compounding implications from this is it's going to affect our food supply. I mean, I explained to you, the brethren in Malacca say they've not been able to plant. Now, I heard there are other areas where people have not been able to plant. For instance, the corn out by near our home, the plants are still small and they should be a lot taller and bigger. So what does that mean to you and I? It means that prices of food, when we're going to buy food, are going to increase exponentially.
And then we've got other problems. Think about it. Now we've got genetically modified food.
We don't even know what implications that's going to do to our health.
I mean, a lot of this thing is long-term and this thing's only, they're only doing it for a decade or so. But what long-term implications is that going to have in our health? And then you heard about, oh, a few years back we had this fear of bird flu and it kind of went away. But did it really go away? I don't think so. It's kind of these things come in waves, you know? It's like seismology, the study of waves. This thing comes in waves. And then we had swine flu, which also became, I was about two years ago, we had all these vaccinations and all this, and kind of has gone quiet. But about a month ago, we heard about the Ebola virus in Germany, and then suddenly it's all quiet. We don't hear about it again. But how much food did you see on TV? They're throwing away with fear that it was, I don't know, I think there was cucumbers that you were afraid of, tomatoes, I don't know what else, and they threw this food away, and then it was none of that, was something else that was causing it. So we're going to see prices increasing.
But things are happening in parallel in increasing intensity. You just have to look at another area.
Let's look at another area. Also, in December this year, in fact, the 17th of December, a man in Tunisia lit himself up and put himself on fire. His name was Muamut Bouwazizi.
Known locally in that area, his name was like his nickname was Pazbousa. So he set himself on fire as a demonstration against problems they had or had in that country. In fact, they had. And so Tunisia became the center stage for an intensive campaign of civil resistance, including a number of street demonstrations. And then it led 28 days later, on the 14th of January, this year, to the hosting of the longtime president of Tunisia, Zim El-Abedin Ben Ali.
I'm sorry if I do not say his name correctly, but I'm sure that we all would struggle with that one.
So I'm sorry. Anyway, that led to some street demonstrations and unrest, which still happening today. But that triggered a whole chain of events. It's like a domino theory in North Africa, Middle East. Demonstrations were precipitated there, and then that led into the revolution that happened in Egypt, as you well remember, and which began on the 21st of January, again causing a campaign of civil resistance, which featured a series of demonstrations, marches, civil disobedience, labor strikes. And there were millions of protesters from various backgrounds. There were different religious groups, different social-economical groups, some rich and poor, and then demanded the overthrow of President Osni Mubarak.
So basically, it did happen. They had these great demonstrations. You probably saw it on TV as well in the Ta'i Square in Cairo and also in other cities. And then on 11th of February, Mr. Mubarak resigned from office. And then it triggered other things. Again, that domino theory kept just...dominals just kept going. And then we have uprisings now in Bahrain, in Syria. Yes, there's a whole war going out in Syria, but, you know, Yemen. Yemen. A lot of oil comes from Yemen, Algeria, Jordan, Morocco. Yes, there was even during the anniversary of, let's call it the independence of Israel, there was people trying to break through the borders in Israel, Mauritania. And we know Libya as well when NATO and the states has been involved.
And so we are witnessing, potentially, the formation of a power in the North Africa, but basically Southern of Jerusalem, which, biblically, is called the King of the South.
We are really seeing the formation of that. The Muslims call that a caliphate, but we see the formation of a King of the South, one way or another. It's just a question of time. It's just a question of time. So we see things happening in parallel.
And then, what other implications will that have for oil? I mean, yes, oil starts to go up. Now it has gone down, but it's starting to go up again. It went down because they've released about 60 billion barrels of oil around the world in the last two weeks of 30 billion barrels in the states alone from strategic reserves to try and hold the price down. But now, maybe they're already using those reserves. I don't know, but the price I notice today, it already starts to go up again.
So there are implications. And then, what sort of pressures will there be on Israel and England and America? Now, you and I know that America is heavily financially burdened with wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, problems in Pakistan, and now we've got Libya. Plus, you know, since Mr. Osama bin Laden died, terrorism has not really abated. I mean, they have not released, for instance, the security measures at airports, for instance. But terrorism is just a thing that is now just, it keeps building up. So what are we seeing? A combination of severe weather conditions, earthquakes, whatever, seismos activities, food being modified, floods, fires, wars.
What could it trigger next?
Could it be major disease epidemics?
Well, I want you to turn with me, please, to a scripture in Old Testament, in Leviticus 26, which is related to blessings and cursings. There are actually two sections.
In Old Testament, where it talks about blessings and cursings. But Leviticus 26 talks about the blessings first, in the first portion of until about verse 13, talks about blessings to Israel.
And we understand, brethren, that Israel is not just the nation in Palestine, which is the Jewish nation, which is called today Israel. But you and I understand that Israel is, let's call it, the greater Israel, which includes not only the Jewish people, but Ephraim, Manasseh, Reuben, etc., the 12 tribes. And which we understand and believe in God's Church, that America is Manasseh and England is Ephraim, part of that greater Israel. Then, from verse 14, talks about, and let's read Leviticus 26, 14, and it's talking to Israel, and it says, But if you do not obey me, and you do not observe all these commandments, and if you despise my statutes, or if your soul abodes my judgment, so that you do not perform all my commandments, but break my covenant. Sorry, I actually wanted to have shown you a few slides, and I cleanly forgot about them. I have a few slides for you, so I want to show you something.
This slide that I'm going to show you is about earthquakes around the world since 1963 to 1998.
All the little dots represent where there's been earthquakes greater than a certain magnitude. So there's a lot of earthquakes that we're not aware of, but what catches our attention is the intensity that has happened more recently. This slide shows you in the areas that I was talking to you about the domino effect of those problems in the Arab nations that we see there. Okay.
And just get me back. I'm sorry, I should have shown you these slides when I went through that section. So, but anyway, let's continue now with Leviticus 26. So we have this combination of things, and what we have is a warning to Israel saying that if you do not obey and if you despise my statutes, then verse 16 says, I will do this to you. It was how will God curse Israel?
And it says, I will even appoint terror over you and other things, diseases, etc. But it says, you will appoint terror. Could that be an indication to what we saw starting from 9-11?
And it's kind of the first wave of punishment to Israel. Could that be it?
And in Leviticus 26, it describes basically five waves of punishment. The last wave of punishment is going to slavery, which you could equate to the Great Tribulation. So could it be the first wave, terror? Could it be 9-11? And could it be, obviously, you know that Christ referred to the end time, that it's being like a woman giving birth in which those contractions, those pains, become more intense as the time gets nearby. And they get nearer to each other, but they also get more intense. And then we read here in verse 18, and it says, and after this, if you still do not obey me, if you still Israel, England, America, Israelites, and nations, if you still don't obey me, then I'll punish you seven times more. Isn't that intensity? That is intensity for your sins. And what is the next punishment? I will break the pride of your power.
Now, what is the pride of America's power? Well, you probably could say it is the military, but I would say it's the American dollar, because if you don't have dollars to fund the military, you really don't have a military. And isn't it interesting enough that exactly seven years after 9-11, in September 2008, we had the great economic crunch in the stock market, where that could be seen as the beginning of breaking the pride of the power of the American dollar and the weakening of the currency. I don't know. I don't want to start saying this is this, but it's coincidental, maybe, that it does seem to relate. It says, I'll break the pride of your power, and I'll make your heavens like iron, your earth like bronze, and your strength will be spent in vain, for your land will not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield its fruit.
And we can see problems happening on land, and we can see these things happening.
So, what is the next wave? Now, before I turned into Leviticus 26 a few minutes ago, I was referring to severe weather, earthquakes, etc., and I said, could we have in the next thing as being major disease epidemics? And then I turned to Leviticus 26, as you recall. But now, let's look at this third wave in verse 21. Then, if you walk contrary to me, and are not willing to obey me, I'll bring on you seven times more plagues, greater intensity, according to your sense, and I'll send wild beasts among you. Surely, wild beasts are not lions and tigers and elephants.
Wild beasts are these viruses. They are wild, bacterial viruses that are real wild amongst us, which means disease epidemics, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number. Brethren, it's nothing to be rejoicing. It is frightful.
The warnings that God gives us as a nation, that if we as a nation do not repent and turn to God, what implications will be? And we see all these things happening. It's like, like pieces in a puzzle getting lined up. And it's quite easy with food being tempered, not good weather, etc., etc., to suddenly have serious viruses developing into our food supply that could impact us seriously. As I was reading at the end of verse 22, it says, We'll make you few in number, and your highways shall be desolate.
Brethren, it's frightening to think that it says your highways will be desolate. I mean, we won't have many cars on the highway on I-75 or I-64 or whatever it is. Think about those highways, Interstate 80, it says, will be desolate. And could be that be the next big punch in intensity seven times greater than the previous one, which was greater than the one before. And in fact, doesn't it tie to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse? Because it says there's wars, rumors of wars and diseases and things like that. It all kind of ties. So, brethren, let's continue looking at situations around the world. Another one we have is Europe. Currently, we have important events in Europe, for instance, in Greece.
A nationwide general strike and demonstrations have been occurring across Greece.
The protests have been sparked by a cut in public spending, such as wages and welfare benefits, and raising taxes through what they call austerity measures, in exchange for the 110 billion euros bailout, aimed at solving the Greek debt crisis. And yes, they'll try and patch it up, but it's not just Greece. I mean, you know that Ireland is also having troubles, and they've patched it up. Portugal will also patch it up. And one they're afraid of next is Spain, because that's what they call the so-called pigs, P-I-G-S, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, and Spain.
And so, it's a concern there. But what has happened? Well, what's happened is they're trying to bail these countries out, but the pressure is on the euro as a currency. Because should Greece default, what financial implications will we have on countries like Germany and France, because they're carrying most of the debt? Are we seeing changes happening in Europe that will lead to major changes in the European Union? Instead of being some 27 countries to turn down to 10 nations, of which the Bible talks about the king of the north, iron mixed with clay. At the same time, we see the development in the south. So this is in the north of Europe, is in the north of Jerusalem, in the south, south of Jerusalem, North Africa, and those Middle East countries that we looked at in the previous slide.
We see a growth of fanatical religion like Muslim. Not that all Muslims are fanatical, but it's the fanatical part that is the dangerous part. And could they now start pushing into Europe?
The king of the north, as the Bible says. And what could that trigger?
Could trigger, just like you have an ideology driving that South Kingdom, the ideologies, the fanatical Muslim belief and the strong laws that they have, could it trigger also an ideological movement in Europe?
The ideological movement of, you know, with the ideas and thoughts and is nothing else than Catholicism. So that will trigger an opposing religion to rise up and to become more outspoken. Therefore, the raising of the so-called the false prophet, the so-called anti-Christ, the anti-Christ.
So, what do we have, brethren? We have, as American and England and Israel opposed to become weaker. And they become a weaker as the breaking of the power of America is weakening. The pride of its power is weakening. We have new potential future leaders of the world in the few years ahead. We have three potential leaders, which are maneuvering depositions to replace America, England and Israel as the new world power. We have in Europe what the Bible calls it the King of the North or elsewhere calls it the Beast Power.
We have South of Jerusalem, what the Bible calls it the King of the South, or the world calls it a Muslim Caliphate. And then we have in the Far East a growing economies of China and India and Asia Pacific countries. Maybe to include, ultimately in the future, countries like, as I mentioned, India and China and Russia and even, who knows, maybe Iran in a North Eastern, Communist combined. So, we see three potential superpowers developing.
And an America itself would then encounter it in a position that will be attacked.
And if you continue reading in Leviticus 26 verse 25, I'll be a part of that. Yeah, starting in verse 23, but it's on verse 25, but starting in verse 23 and says, if by these things you are not reformed to me, in other words, you still haven't repented, but you walk contrary to me, then I'll walk, I also will walk contrary to you and I'll punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I'll bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant for where you gather together within your cities, I'll send pestilence amongst you and you shall by deliver into the hand of the enemy. So, there would be some sort of an attack, potentially, on the nations of Israel, as let's call it, that fourth wave.
And then, if you still have not repented, then we get to verse 27. And after this, if you still do not obey me, but walk contrary to me, this is the first wave. And then if we just jump and pick up a few points about this punishment, the fifth wave, look on verse 37. I'll destroy your high places and verse 31. I'll lay your city's waste and bring your sanctuaries to desolation.
Could that be city's waste? Atomic warfare destroying some big cities. And verse 33.
I will scatter you among the nations, which is basically slavery being scattered, which is, in my mind, nothing else than the Great Revelation.
So, potentially, Leviticus 26 gives a sequence of punishments to Israel for disobedience in growing intensity. As we've seen, things are growing in intensity, like birth bangs or contractions before childbirth. And what we see, therefore, is a number of milestones that we need to watch. Now, in February this year, I gave a sermon about the three major milestones to watch.
So, I'm not going to go through that in great detail today, but I'm just going to highlight them to you once again that what the Book of Revelation has are seven seals, which are marked on the slide yah with those seven seals, round seals in red, of which the first four are the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
And towards the end of that, we need to see that one of the milestones to watch is the appearance on the world scene of the man of sin, the false prophet or the antichrist.
Turn with me to 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 3.
I'm trying to go slowly so that you don't get lost, but trying to give you an idea how God is allowing these things to happen in certain sequence. It's prophesied God is in control, but he could foresee mankind's sins, and therefore he could forecast or prophesy to us in advance some sequences.
And in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 3 and 4.
Let no man receive you by any means, for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first. That's that apostasy. Apostasy in the church come first. The falling away from the truth.
And the second major event that has to happen, as it says, that that day will not come unless this event happens, is that the man of sin is revealed. That is the false prophet. That is the antichrist.
That is that false prophet that rides that war which controls the beast power. That's the ideology and the leader of that ideology that will control the king of the north, the beast power.
It says, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worship, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
And when he does that, when he does that, that is the abomination of desolation.
When he does those acts, if you study and you go into Daniel, that is the abomination of desolation. Because it's the armies surrounding Jerusalem and this false prophet coming in there, taking there and stopping the daily sacrifices and all that. That is the abomination of desolation. Christ referred to that in Matthew 24. In Matthew 24, Matthew 24, let's look at verse 15 and 16. Matthew 24, 15 and 16. Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place, yes, that is that man standing, claiming himself to be God and stopping the sacrifices and all that. Whoever reads, let him understand. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Those that are in Judea are to flee to the mountains. That is the sign, that is the second major milestone that I have in the slides, yes. The first is the man of sin. The second one is the abomination of desolation. There is a sign for the church to flee.
But it's for those that are in Judea. So some in the church will then at that time be in Judea.
Not all. Some. And look at verse 21. For then there will be great tribulation, such as not as been since the beginning of the world until this time. The church flees and then there's a great tribulation. We tie that with the other sequence of events we looked at it and it starts, the puzzle starts to come together. Now let's look at the book of Revelation now to Revelation 12, where it talks about what will happen to the church when it's fleeing. Revelation 12, verse 13.
Revelation 12, verse 13.
Then I stood on the sand of the sea and I saw, I beg your pardon, 12, verse 13. I'm reading the wrong place.
Now when? 12, 13. Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman.
So there's going to be a time when God says, Satan, you're not allowed in heaven anymore. Because we know even at the time of Job, Satan was allowed to go to heaven and say, look at Job, look at this man. So Satan still has some access to heaven. But there will be a time when he will not be allowed. At that time, he's cast to earth. When he's cast to earth? He persecuted the woman. So when is he cast out of heaven? It's basically at the same time as this man of sin comes up to power and we got the abomination of desolation. He then is kicked out of heaven. And what is his first action? Persecute the woman.
So that's why when the abomination of desolation happens, it's the warning for the church to flee.
And as the church flees, Satan is persecuting the woman. Because look at it.
But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle that she might fly into the wilderness. That is the church fleeing for to a place where she's nourished for a time, time and half a time, for three and a half years from the presence of the serpent. She's then protected from Satan for three and a half years. The church has to flee and protect it from satanic influences during those three and a half years. Verse 15. So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. So Satan will inspire an army to chase the church, the flood being an army. But the earth helped the woman and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up this army, the flood, which the dragon, which is Satan, had spewed out of his mouth. And it was through its mouth, through its spirit, as inspired to occur. And the dragon was enraged! Satan was furious, was full of wrath.
So this is the time of Satan's wrath.
So Satan was enraged with the church, because the portion of the church that was in Judea has fled.
And he went to make war with the rest of her offspring. It was he went to make war with the rest of the church that had not gone to Judea. That is those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
For him to destroy the remaining of the church, which is scattered throughout the nations, in small groups or whatever they are, he has to destroy Israel. Because Israel, in other words, American Constitution, says there's freedom of religion. And for him to persecute the church, he has to take away freedom of religion through the mark of the beast, enforcing the mark of the beast, enforcing Sunday observers.
And therefore, he has to take that nation, that power, that democratic environment that allows freedom of religion. That has to be destroyed. Therefore, Israel has to be destroyed.
And so, for him to attack the remaining of the church, he has to first go and attack Israel.
America, England, and the Judean nation, Israel.
Isaiah chapter 5.
Isaiah chapter 5.
Verse 5. Isaiah 5. The pride of Israel testifies to his face.
Therefore, Israel and Ephraim.
Isaiah 5. Verse 5. Daniel, Hosea. So, just after Daniel. The pride of Israel testifies to his face. Therefore, Israel and Ephraim. Interesting it says, and Ephraim. Which means, it's talking about some of the tribes of Israel, and most probably, Manasseh.
So, Manasseh and Ephraim stumble in their iniquity.
The three.
Judah also stumbles with them. So, we're talking about the three. England, America, and the nation in Palestine that we call today Israel, which happens to be the Jews, which is Judah.
So, we've got Israel, which is not just Manasseh, but it could be, for instance, Australia, and by Ephraim also. That's Portuguese for also. Sorry, it just came out.
I don't know why, but anyway, speaking in tongues, yeah.
Anyway, I'm sorry about that. But anyway, so we've got Israel, which could be America and Australia and other countries. Ephraim, which is England, and Judah, which is modern-day Israel in Palestine. It says, also stumbles with them. And look a little bit further in verse seven.
For they have dealt treasureously with the Lord, for they have begotten many begotten pagan children. Yeah, our sins affect the children, and the children are not godly, because they're not teaching in schools the right things. You just have to look at what's happening in schools today. It's frightening. They have begotten pagan children. Now, a new moon, in one month, in 30 days, a new moon shall devour them in their heritage. Those three national combines will be wiped out within one month, within 30 days.
And isn't it a revelation? For 1260 days, which is three and a half years, and therefore the 1290 could well be when the church has to flee.
And you can look at that, because it coincides with Daniel 1211, when he talks about the 1290 days, which he is when the daily sacrifice is removed. In Daniel 1211, he says the daily sacrifice is taken away 1290 days. Daily sacrifice, that's the abomination of desolation, flee, because within the next 30 days, Israel, America, and Judah will be wiped out. 1260 starts the tribulation for three and a half years. Removal of freedom of religion, enforcement of the mark of the beast.
So that nation, that combine is going to be already in power there, in place for them to be able to exercise this stuff.
And that coincides with that fifth wave of Leviticus 26. Now, who's going to attack America, England, and Israel?
Psalm 83. Psalm 83. It's also covered in one of our church booklets, Psalm 83, about prophecy. Psalm 83.
Psalm 83.
Do not be silent, O God. Do not hold your peace, and do not be still, O God. For behold, your enemies make a tumult. These are the enemies that people that hate God, they're making an uproar.
And those who hate you have lifted up their head. In other words, they became proud. They exalted themselves. Verse 3. They've taken crafty counsel against your people, who are God's people, and they're Israelites, isn't it? It's Israel. Ephraim, Manasseh, Judah, and obviously the Church of God, spiritually speaking as well. But they have taken crafty counsel against your people, the physical Israelites, and consulted together against your sheltered ones. Yes, Israel and Manasseh, over the last years, has been sheltered. The nation has been sheltered from many of the problems that have happened around the world.
God put fans around and protected our weather, protected our environment. The nations grew. We had prosperity. We had blessings. We were the sheltered ones. And they have said, Come, let us cut them off from being a nation. Clearly talking about physical people being a nation, Israel, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more. We hate them so much. We hate Israel so much. Israel as a nation is the little devil, as some call it, and America is the big devil, as they call it. They hate it so much. It says that the name of Israel may be remembered no more. Verse 5, For they have consulted together with one consent. I mean, they may disagree about many things, but they agree on one thing. They want Israel out of the way. And I mean, Israel, America, England, Jewish nation, everything, the whole thing. And so they formed a Confederacy. They formed a, let's call it, a temporary alliance, an agreement to get something going against you. The tents of Edom and Ishmaelites, Moab, the Hagrites, could be the Syrians as well, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, Philistia, that's Palestine, and the inhabitants of Tyre. You can see they all Arab-type nations. But look who else is with them in verse 8. Look who's with them in that Confederacy, as Syria also joined with them. It's like some people say, you know, it's like if you have two dogs fighting, they kind of hate each other. But if you go and separate them, they both turn against you. You know, it's so you've got these enemies, king of the south and king of the north, they are enemies, but they will make a Confederacy against a common enemy, which is Israel.
And once Israel is out of the way, then yeah, they will continue their fight amongst themselves. As Syria has also joined with them, and they have helped the children of Lot.
Selah. Selah means think about this, ponder about it, meditate on this.
So what do we have?
Is these nations get together and they're going against Israel to destroy Israel? They're former Confederates to destroy Israel. We've seen it from Isaiah, that it's over a period of very quickly, a very quick period, one after another, they just collapse.
And then we saw from Leviticus that the people be scattered, there will be war and the people be scattered. And we saw from Christ's prophecy that there will be a great revelation.
And we saw even from Revelation 12 that Satan is enraged with God's people, with the spiritual church, but to get to the church he has to get to physical Israel first.
And so the great revelation will happen. Let's go back to Revelation 6, verse 9. Revelation 6, verse 9.
Revelation 6, verse 9.
Then he opened the fifth seal, and I saw under the altar of those who had been slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they had fled. And that's basically the great revelation there with the fifth seal. It's the time of great revelation as never before. The beast rises, forces the mark of the beast to destroy the church.
And then what happens? Look at Daniel chapter 7.
Daniel chapter 7.
Daniel chapter 7, verse 21 and 22. Daniel chapter 7, verse 21 and 22.
I was watching, and the same horn was making war against the saints. This horn is basically the false prophet. It's basically the man of sin or the antichrist who's making war against the saints and prevailing against them. He was winning. You see, during the great revelation with that environment, he's gonna start prevailing. He's gonna make progress in his mind the way he sees it. Verse 22, until the ancient of days came. Who is the ancient of days that is gonna come? Who is gonna come to earth? Who's gonna have the second coming of who? Jesus Christ. Interesting, refers here to the ancient of days as Jesus Christ.
And the judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom. You see, they will prevail. This great revelation will continue until the time of Christ's coming. This great revelation will continue. There will be a time during the great revelation when there will be the heavenly signs, and God says that he's intervening. But the great revelation continues in parallel until the time of Christ's coming, because it's for three and a half years. So you'll make war against the saints. Now remember, from a political scene, what have we got? From a political scene, we have three world combines now jogging for power.
The king of the north, the beast. America is now out of the way. It's like the one that was fighting those two dogs is out of the way. So now the dogs can get at each other. So the king of the north and the king of the south can now get at each other. But there is a third one as well, which is the communist hordes in the east. So what's the next move? What's the next thing that's going to happen?
Look at Daniel 11 verse 40. Daniel 11 verse 40. Those two dogs that were fighting against each other, the king of the north and the king of the south, look at that. In Daniel 11 verse 40.
The booklet, the Middle East in Prophecy, goes into great detail about this prophecy, in great detail about Daniel 11. And the booklet, Middle East in Prophecy, also goes into enormous detail about the king of the south, what a caliphate is, and all that stuff. A tremendous amount of detail, more than I've seen in TV by some other TV broadcasters. It's unbelievable. It really is worthwhile for you to study that booklet, Middle East in Prophecy. But anyway, in verse 40, at the time of the end, the king of the south shall attack him. Who is him? It's the king of the north, the beast. And the king of the north, that is the beast, shall come against him, that's the king of the south, that Muslim caliphate, like a whirlwind with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships, and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. And he also shall enter the glorious land, and many countries, etc. So what we have here is the king of the south shall then be damaged or destroyed as a world power by the king of the north. Yes, the people are still there, and those attitudes and those vibes are still there because they've trained children. There's a lot of vibes, a lot of problems that in the world tomorrow we'll have to fix up. But as a powerful caliphate will be destroyed by the king of the north.
And look at it in verse 44. But news from the east and the north shall trouble him.
Who is that him? It's the beast. It's the king of the north. The news from the east and the north is now the other China, Indian, communistic power, because now you have these two. One is out of the way because we are three, remember? We are the king of the north, king of the south, and China, east, communist world. America is out of the way. Those two now fight, and the king, the beast, is now in control. The south is out of the way. Now we're left with two. One of them there's no space in the world for two world rulers. There's been only one. So it's either you or me, and we've got to wipe one another out because I'm not going to be submissive to you, and you're not going to be submissive to me. So they're going to govern each other. Verse 44, but news from the east and the north, in other words, from China, Russia, India, whatever, that area. He says, therefore he shall trouble him. Therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. He shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountains. So he first set up government in the Palestine area so that the Dany can attack the eastern hordes. Yet he shall come to his end and no one will help him, because Christ will then come, and that is for another day. But for the time being, I wanted to just show you a picture of how things are developing, show you how intensity is growing, building up to the kingdom of God, because this is how God is going to establish his kingdom.
In the next prophetic sermon, I will then take this further. I will summarize what I have there into a small section, what I would call the wall today, of which we have covered part. We will learn more about the great wrath of God.
We'll look at the three woes, and then we'll look at a lot more beyond that, beyond Christ's coming, and other things that happen well beyond that, into the wall tomorrow, through the millennium, and then, obviously not just in one sermon, but I'm giving you an idea of prophetic sermons that I plan to give you an idea of where this is all leading to, through the second resurrection, and through the third resurrection, all the way into the new heaven and new earth. So you can see how God is establishing His kingdom. We'll look at these things slowly, one by one, in prophetic sermons, and I hope to do a sermon on prophecy, say maybe once a month, maybe once every six weeks or so. Depends on how it goes. But all I wanted to do is to give you an idea how God will establish His kingdom, to give you hope and courage to endure. And as the sermon had said, to use the little time we have to grow in righteous character. Because remember, prophecy is knowledge, and knowledge is like a puffs up, it's like an empty symbol. The important thing is that we use that knowledge to grow in character, to grow in grace, to grow in love, because love edifies.
