How to Stop Worrying About Things You Cannot Change

Have you ever had something bad happen that just hit you out of the blue? I’m sure we all have. When that happens, it can leave us feeling sad, or worried, or anxious. Sometimes depending on the nature of the problem, we may try too hard to fix it. And if we’re not careful, our difficulty can consume our thoughts, wear us down, and become a distraction to who and what is truly important in life. In this message, we’ll discuss three steps to help us stop worrying about things we cannot change, so we can have true peace in whatever situation we are in.

Jim serves as an elder in the Big Sandy (East Texas), Texarkana, TX, and Ruston, LA congregations. He and his wife Laurel also enjoy traveling and visiting other UCG congregations. He attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas from 1990 – 1994 and currently works in the IT department of a local hospital. He enjoys watching and playing sports, and loves working with children.  He and Laurel direct UCG preteen Camp Gilmont.
