In this Bible study of Isaiah 38-39, Hezekiah was faced with a life-threatening trial. He turned to God, pouring out his heart in prayer and God answered his prayer extending his life by 15 years. A lesson for us is to fervently seek God in prayer when we are faced with trials. Despite Hezekiah’s loyalty and faithfulness to God, he learned that he had a battle with pride in his life. He humbled himself because of the pride. We learn lessons about ourselves and must be humble to admit a problem and work on it with God’s help.
