Modern social critics (many of whom are atheists) see the examples of professing Christians (who claim to be followers of Christ) and point out the great discrepencies between what those Christians do and what Christ taught. Christ said "Why call me 'Lord' but do not do what I say?" If we are to be true followers of Christ, we must know His teachings "inside and out", know those true ministers who labor among us, and demonstrate Christ's teachings in our lives.

Fred Crow is an elder with United Church of God; pastor of the Eureka and San Jose, California congregations. Fred retired from the aerospace industry in 2015. He has two daughters and eight grandchildren. He wrote a newspaper column, was a published cartoonist, taught scuba diving, and is a writer, photographer, and traveler.
