Someone once said, "With friends like this, who needs enemies?" Job undoubtedly felt this way when his friends came to "comfort" him, but ended up adding to his misery by railing on Job's faults and telling him that he and his family deserved the horrible experiences they were undergoing. But Job needed some comfort, compassion and encouragement, as do we all when life is going badly. And we certainly need to show that compassion for others in their times of trial and troubles. In this Bible study, Lewis Bryant continues pointing out the lessons of the book of Job for us as Christians today.
