In this study Mr. Smith continues in John 3 starting with Jesus leaving Jerusalem and arriving where John the Baptist was preaching. When He left there he went north and encountered the woman at the well in Samaria. His dialog with her has similarities with the one between Jesus and Nicodemus in chapter 3. Jesus spoke to her of spiritual things but like Nicodemus, she at first tried to understand them as being physical.
