There are many examples in the Bible that show us that God is “. . . longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2nd Peter 3:9) This is the main lesson of the book of Jonah. God gave Jonah and the people of Nineveh a second chance to do the right thing.
