The Law of God: Burden or Blessings?

The theme of this year's General Council of Elders was "30 Years of Legacy of Service and Faith!" Yet in the past and currently, there are views that the Mosaic Law is burdensome and labels God's Law as oppressive. Moses in Deuteronomy described it as wisdom that elevates and blesses Israel. Encompassing moral, ceremonial, civil, and dietary guidelines, the Law is accessible, not complex, and brings prosperity and joy when obeyed. Ultimately, it prepares believers for God's Kingdom, aligning them with His character and purpose. The Law is a blessing, not a burden.

God brought me to his truth in 1982 through a Good News Magazine entitled: How Do You Handle Conflict. Kathy, my wife, and I have celebrated 33 years of marriage. We have two sons, Kody and Caleb.
