Let There Be Light!

In the beginning, God performed a supernatural act in the midst of total darkness that not only gave life to humankind but served as a type of divine life. He commanded, 'Let there be light!' A few thousand years later Jesus Christ gave spiritual light to His disciples so we could become lights in a very darkened world full of sin. Light, as a Bible symbol, symbolizes Jesus Christ, Truth, God's Spirit, holiness, purity, and immortality. We can ask ourselves, “Does my light brighten others' lives or dim them down a little?” This message explores the benefits of light in a godly life and shows what we can do to trim our lamps to give godly light in a very dark world.
