The movie, Forest Gump, was released in the summer of 1996 and is set in the mid-80’s. Its most famous and often quoted line is “Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.” It suggested that life was full of surprises, some good, some not so good and some bad. I was having a conversation with a member whose wife was battling cancer and that phrase came up as we discussed life’s unexpected twists and turns – This message asks, quite simply, is life like a box of chocolates – Where we never know what we’ll get?
