The world – humanity – is presently in darkness, under the sway, the veil, of satan the devil, our adversary. The world desperately needs the veil lifted, and we are promised that the time will come. We as the firstfruits, called out of darkness into the light, have had that veil lifted from our eyes, spiritually speaking. We must show the way now, through our actions, our conduct, our words – the ‘light’ of God shining through us – and though mankind cannot see now, just as the disciples couldn’t always see what Christ was saying – the day is coming, that great day of the Kingdom of God, where the veil over mankind will be lifted.
Ed has been a baptized member of the United Church of God since 1999. He lives in Salem, Oregon with his wife, five bicycles and an N scale model railroad, and enjoys spending time in God's creation.
