Milk AND Meat: God's Balanced Diet

Brethren, have you ever wondered about yourself spiritually? How spiritually mature are you becoming? This is a question we all should ask ourselves, and hopefully have asked ourselves through this holy day season. In Matt 5:48 Jesus Christ says to His disciples, Therefore you shall be perfect just as your Father in Heaven is perfect. The word perfect used here is Strongs #5046 teleios and it means complete, grown into something that is perfect and needs no more work. Spiritual maturity. The bible uses the terms milk and meat as teaching tools to help us in achieving teleios. Both are necessary to reach spiritual maturity. Let’s see if we can develop a better understanding of the milk and meat of God’s word. Let’s grow towards becoming spiritually mature (teleios), taking in both Milk AND Meat, God’s Balanced Diet.
