Not Many Mighty

God works through His faithful servants

This Sermon starts with I Corinthians 1:26-31 - Not many mighty are called. Where do we see our role in God's family today and in the future? Is this a license to be timid and sit back to prove we fit this description or is there more to this scripture? Review the story of Gideon. He was reluctant and did not have special skills yet God saw what He could accomplish through a faithful man who was open to following God. Ultimately Gideon is mentioned in Hebrews 11:32-34 as a hero of faith.

What about us today? Of ourselves we are not mighty, wise or noble. Do we see that God can do and is doing a MIGHTY work in us now and will be using us in the future in His Kingdom. How do we know if God is working in our lives today? I will share stories of mighty acts of faith from average people that have played a role in other's lives building their faith. God is doing works everyday in your life that have a MIGHTY impact on others. This sermon is to encourage and inspire the brethren no matter what age to open their hearts and minds to God working in them every day that we have on this earth. We may never know today the impact we have had on others but will know in God's Kingdom and beyond.
