This Bible study covers the incident with Balaam and his talking donkey. Balak, the Baal worshipping king of Moab who feared the approaching Israelites, sent for the prophet Balaam to come and curse the Israelites for him. God would not allow Balaam to go because the Israelites were a blessed people by him. After repeated inquiries, Balaam goes with the Moabites. On his way, his donkey saved Balaam’s life by refusing to approach the angel of the Lord with a drawn sword blocking their way.
