We live in a world of law, both civil and criminal. God teaches us that we do not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). Listen to this sermon to learn what differences there are between ancient Israel and spiritual Israel, and why ancient Israel and Mosaic Law was applied to a nation as a group. There were immediate physical consequences for sin, whereas spiritual Israel, (those who follow Jesus Christ), is composed of individuals with the law written into their hearts and they must repent of sins to be saved and receive eternal life.
