Overcoming one's own self-reliance can be difficult. John 3:30 "He must increase but I must decrease." The way for us to overcome self-reliance is to realize that God needs to increase in our lives, and we must decrease. If His greatness, power and glory are uppermost in our minds, and we submit ourselves to His Words, ways, and His thoughts, and put them to action in our lives, self-reliance will be a thing of the past, and we will live blessed lives!
