Jesus used many parables to teach us lessons. One of them was the parable of the “lost son” or the “prodigal son”. The parable teaches us lessons not only from the Prodigal son himself but also from his father and his brother. If we are truthful with ourselves we can find ourselves being either of these individuals from the parable. As the parable points us toward the kingdom we realize that the lessons that Jesus was teaching are for us today.
